They are an active part of the Bay community and they get fully involved in the social activities of the area.

It is well known that Puerto Vallarta is a city that lives of the tourists, but not just any kind, the main target for our city are American and Canadian citizens who are looking to retire and spend their upcoming years in peace, living in the beach, meeting new people.

Wherever you may go in Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta you will see them; sunbathing, enjoying their new friends and the Mexican culture.

They are an active part of the Bay community and they get fully involved in the social activities of the area.

This is how we’ll see Expats in charge of altruism events such as the Festival Internacional de Altruismo de Puerto Vallarta where Kelly Trainor works restlessly to contribute to the country that’s been a new home to her.
In the same way, we’ll see them in dog shelters, art galleries, restaurants and hotels. Endless professions and activities that make an essential part of our community.

Expats love Mexico for many reasons: it’s a place where they can get more for their money, they can have a pretty nice lifestyle and above all, they value the peace and safety of the city; Mexican culture is simply fascinating to them, here is where they realize that Mexico is so much more than burritos and sombreros; and finally, they have the freedom of being who they really are, it’s amazing to look at how much they enjoy their days here. You can always see them at bars, full of beers and friends, dancing carelessly, many of them thoroughly living their homosexuality in a place that embraces them and offers them unlimited options.

Truth be told, we Mexicans and Expats have perfectly bonded and have built a new community that lives in harmony. May they keep being welcome here, this is your home!
